Hawkeye Report Podcast

McCabe feels fan support

When Zach McCabe entered the game on Sunday, he heard it from the Iowa fans and it was nothing but a loud ovation. Following an incident on twitter following the loss to Wisconsin, the senior forward has seen his locker fill up with letters and cards from Hawkeye fans showing their support and it's meant a lot to him. He talks about his upcoming senior day and the love and support he has received from Iowa fans.

Hawkeyes ready for MSU

It's the stretch run of the Big Ten season and two of Iowa's leaders are ready for the final two games of the Big Ten regular season. Aaron White and Devyn Marble are two important weapons for the Hawkeyes and they are ready to make a strong push to the finish line, starting with Thursday's game against Michigan State. They talk about the upcoming game and Marble discusses his upcoming senior day at Iowa.

Late last month, Zach McCabe was involved in a much publicized incident on social media. He led to Iowa coach Fran McCaffery banning Twitter for the rest of the season and a learning experience for the Hawkeye senior. He talked about it before practice Tuesday afternoon.

The No. 9 ranked Iowa men's gymnastics team travels to Minneapolis to face the No. 6 Minnesota Golden Gophers Saturday, March 8 at 7 p.m. (CT) at the Sports Pavilion. Fans can follow live results at http://www.gophersports.com/livestats/m-gym/livestats.htm. On Feb. 15, Iowa hosted a tri-meet against the Gophers and Nebraska. Minnesota won the meet with a score of 437.400, the Hawkeyes placed second with a score of 433.050 and the Huskers finished third with a score of 418.150.

W. Basketball. Women's Hoops Set for Big Ten Tournament

The 23rd-ranked Iowa women's basketball team (23-7, 11-5) travels to Indianapolis this week for the annual Big Ten Tournament. Iowa, the No. 5 seed, will face 12th-seeded Illinois in the first round on Thursday. Tip-off for the second game of the day inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse is set for approximately 1:30 p.m. (CT).
