Among the serious candidates for the No. 1 in the Major League Baseball draft next June is Nick Burdi, a junior right handed pitcher in the University of Louisville bullpen. Used exclusively as a reliever, Burdi’s fast ball has been clocked at 103 miles per hour, and his change up has been timed at 90 mph.

The Louisville Football team has a new set of strength coaches. Joe Miday and Scott Wilks brought in a new tradition of ringing a bell when a new personal best is achieved in the weightroom. The Cardinals have been ringing a lot of bells during winter conditioning.

In what might be the best new Louisville tradition since Oaks Day or...bourbon, the Cardinal basketball teams will again be receiving new uniforms from adidas for their postseason run.
What do they look like? I mean does it even matter at this point? If I told you they were wearing cut-out garbage bags with numbers duck-taped on the back, would you be opposed? They're not, but the point is there was an uproar over the last two uniform unveilings, and all they achieved was back-to-back Big East
