Michigan fans can rationalize it all they want, but whether or not the referees called some ticky-tacky penalties on the Wolverines in the final six minutes Saturday, U-M gave Wisconsin two power plays late and the Badgers scored on both to pull out a 3-2 win over the Maize and Blue in an outdoor game in Madison

Michigan's latest home loss to Wisconsin followed the same script as several of the those preceding it, with one exception - for an entire half and a good portion of the second the Badgers couldn't miss. The same team that threw up bricks from every angle against the Wolverines a few weeks back made nine of 13 triples in the first half and 11 of 20 for the game in a 62-44 win over U-M.

While the Wolverines hockey team is in Madison for an outdoor hockey game against the Badgers, the Michigan basketball team is hosting Wisconsin at Crisler Arena.

The last time Michigan played Wisconsin, the game was in the Wolverines' hands. Few teams win in Madison, yet U-M had the game under control. Until they collapsed. Leading by nine with 9 minutes left, the Wolverines surrendered a 17-4 run and lost, 54-48. Yet they remember what a chance it was.
