The NCAA football rules committee tabled a proposal Wednesday that would have penalized offenses for snapping the ball before 10 seconds had run off the 40-second play clock.

Detroit Cass Tech has become a powerhouse program in the state of Michigan, and sophomore wide receiver Dwight Blakey is hoping to make an impact at his new school after transferring in.
