Tom Kaminski of WCBS Radio took pictures of Citi Field from the Chopper 880.

To see Tom’s full [...]

The Mets have named Mookie Wilson as the team’s minor league outfield and base running coordinator.
Wilson had been the team’s first base coach, and managed Single-A Brooklyn in 2005.
“It’s good to be back,” said Wilson, in a team press release.
“This is where I started and I’m anxious to do whatever I can for the young kids in [...]

In mid-January, I was able to talk with Daniel Murphy about a variety of issues.
Here is an excerpt, in which we talk about hitting, and what he learned from last season:
Matthew Cerrone: I don’t know if you listen to talk radio in New York ever, but, Mike Francesa on WFAN has been very critical of [...]

To the many fans of the Orange and Blue, and bloggers and journalists in general, this topic may be coming too early to garner discussion or deep consideration.
I am a planner and if I was anticipating every possible angle to make enough [...]

TedQuarters.net: Bobby Kielty, Just Because
...actually, that’s pretty clever on kielty’s part, as i have to think a right-handed bat from the bench, who can also pitch in relief, would be fairly marketable, assuming he’s any good…

According to this report on MASN Sports, Japanese free agent Hisanori Takahashi has reportedly rejected deals from both the Mets and Orioles.
The Mets had actually offered the reliever a Major League contract, but couldn’t reach an agreement on the dollars according to another report appearing on NPB Tracker.

The most obvious next step for Bobby Valentine is Flushing, says Bob Klapisch in a report for FoxSports.com.
According to Klapisch, “Jerry Manuel has two months, at best, to prove he can reverse the Mets downward spiral, which began all the way back in Game 7 of the 2006 NL Championship Series.”
Klapisch feels one long losing streak could [...]

I am surprised by the high-level of near-certain doom being expressed by some Mets fans.
I understand the skepticism and the criticism, no question. I feel the same way. But, I’m sensing a whole other level of doom-and-gloom in my inbox and comments section, and I hear it on talk radio and from fans on the street… and, [...]
