A full recap will come later tonight after the Penn State vs Minnesota game, but thanks to Juice Thompson (16 points) finding his range in the second half and huge day from the bench trio of Alex Marcotullio (8 points), Mike Capocci (4 points), and Davide Curletti (12 points) Northwestern toughed out a victory over Indiana for their first Big Ten Tournament win since 2005.

After playing from behind against Indiana for the first 32 minutes of game action, Northwestern took a 47-45 lead on a pair of free throws by Mike Capocci and never trailed again, going on to defeat the Hoosiers 73-58 at Conseco Fieldhouse in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament Thursday. Junior Michael Thompson (pictured) scored 13 of his 16 points in the second half to lead NU to its first Big Ten Tournament win since 2005.

The Big Ten Network will debut its coverage of this year's Big Ten Match Play Championship at 2:30 p.m. CT Sunday, March 14, with multiple re-air dates to follow. Northwestern won the tournament this season, defeating Wisconsin before downing No. 3 seed Michigan and No. 2 seed Iowa to reach the title match. There, the Wildcats put the first 6-0 sweep in the event's history on the Boilermakers of Purdue to take the crown. David Lipsky (pictured) went 4-0 in the tournament to lead NU.
