NEWS: The #12/8 Penn State Lady Lions (22-6, 13-3 Big Ten) earned the top seed in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis for the third consecutive season. The Lady Lions shared the regular-season title with Michigan State, but earned the top seed thanks to a 66-54 win over the Spartans in the only regular-season meeting on Jan. 19.

RECAP: Four Nittany Lion swimmers entered the pool with the goal of reaching the NCAA Championships on Sunday at the NCAA Last Chance meet. Carolyn Fittin (Sea Girt, N.J.), Mackenzie Hornibrook (West Chester, Pa.) and Katie Rowe (Glenville, N.Y.) each improved upon their previous career best marks while Chelsea Weedman (Poway, Calif.) added another NCAA provisional mark at the McCorkle Aquatic Center.

W. Golf. Penn State Tied for Seventh After First Round

As the spring season finally started for the Penn State women's golf team, the Nittany Lions wasted no time and came out of the gate firing on all cylinders. The blue and white opened the first round of the Kiawah Island Classic with a 300, tying them for seventh place with High Point. The Nittany Lions are nine shots behind the leader as they enter day two of the tournament. Tee times for the second round begin at 9:00 a.m.
