The Eagles traded a 6th round pick for G Reggie Wells from Arizona. Interesting move. There isn't much doubt that Wells is here to get in the mix at RG. The question is which guy this pushes out. Does Stacy...

The Eagles made a lot of moves today. They cut 10 players:
CB Geoff Pope
DE Pannell Egboh
DT Boo Robinson
CB David Pender
WR Dobson Collins
TE Nate Lawrie
OT Jeraill McCuller
RB J.J. Arrington
S Anthony Scirrotto
RB Martell Mallett
In addition to those moves, the Eagles placed Victor Abiamiri on the Physically Unable to Perform/Reserved list, which automatically knocks him out [...]

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles and Cardinals have just completed another trade. This one will send starting offensive guard Reggie Wells to Philadelphia in exchange for a sixth round draft pick. The 6'4" 314 pound lineman has been a durable piece of Arizona's line over the past seven seasons and excels in the blocking for the running game. H

Finally, the Preseason is over and we can turn our full attention towards the opener hosting the Green Bay Packers (as if you weren't already). The entire starting team rested last night as the Eagles limped their way to a 21-17 defeat to the New York Jets. The second team offense didn't look so great [...]

Below are my projections for the Eagles’ 53-man roster, which will be announced within the next 30 hours. There are some close calls to make, mostly involving where to carry an extra player due to special teams skills. After the official roster is released, we’ll take a look back and see just how accurate the predictions were.
QB (3): Kevin Kolb, Mike Vick, Mike Kafka
This is as simple as it gets. The Eagles will carry three, there are three on the roster and that’s all there is to it.
RB/FB (4

The 2010 preseason is in the books, and the Eagles will have to trim their roster to 53 men by 6 p.m. Saturday. Here's my guess at who those 53 will be.

Jamaal Jackson said he is "99.9 percent" sure he will play the Sept. 12 opener against the Packers, less than nine months after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.

Brandon Jacobs: "This is a cutthroat, backstabbing business."
...or maybe Ahmad Bradshaw is just a better running back right now. Potato-Potahto.

I wrote about the Jets game and some roster battles for PE.com. Tonight's game will be very important for quite a few guys. One player I didn't mention in the column is LB Tracy White. I'm not sure what to...

According to ESPN, the trade that the Eagles made with the Cardinals, exchanging drafted rookies, is under scrutiny: The NFL Players Association is monitoring a little-known "85-percent rule" in 2010 after two minor trades this week involving rookie players were...

Subject: Serious question
Did you see whose jersey is the best seller in the NFL this summer? It's not Brett Favre's. Not Chris Johnson's. Not Drew Brees'. It's Tim Tebow's, the Broncos' rookie QB who's done nothing in his NFL career but shave his head. What accounts for this incongruity? Hype? Race? Politics? It's obvious that logic plays no role.

There weren't any huge revelations in the Eagles preseason finale. No player was so dynamic that he definitely changed the way we think about him. No one struggled so much as to ruin our opinion of him. I haven't had...

TWICE, KURT COLEMAN was just kinda standing there, minding his own business, and, hey - a football!
Coleman is a seventh-round rookie from Ohio State whose hard-hitting style and special-teams savvy probably had earned him an Eagles roster spot even before his scintillating two-touchdown first half in last night's preseason finale, a 21-17 loss to the visiting New York Jets. But Coleman might play a long time in the NFL without fortune ever smiling on him again the way it smiled in this game.

IF I WERE a fan, I don't think I would've paid $10 to attend last night's preseason finale between the Eagles and the New York Jets.
