How about this for the first Pregame Guesses of the regular season?Who will start at quarterback for the Bruins?
I don’t know either – it’s a "game time decision."
The element of the unknown hangs over the program right now like early morning fog over San

Not surprisingly Kansas State is preparing for UCLA as their "statement" game. They are preparing for this game as if it's a "branding opportunity" for the Wildcats program during the second tour of Coach Bill Snyder (HT Bring On The Cats):
Damion McIntosh, a former offensive tackle at Kansas State and a 10-year NFL veteran, delivered a lesson in marketing at his alma mater this week.
McIntosh spoke to the K-State football team about the importance of building a brand, something that remains a

On Saturday junior safety Tony Dye will be entering his third season as a Bruin and it hard to believe that he is now one of the grizzled old vets who will be looked upon to supply leadership. One of his ideas that hasn't really hit the team by storm is the golden hair he and a few others have been sporting lately. Dye talked to BruinBlitz.com recently to talk about his new hairdo and the coming game.

It was UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel's last interview with the media until game day. The players were feisty and appeared ready to rumble. However, you never truly know what will transpire until the team actually lines up and the hitting begins then you find out if your team is real or Memorex.

Let's all meet at Johnny's Power & Light, around 6:30-7:00. It's a sports-happy bar, with Jayhawk roots.
Wear your Bruin gear, and let's have some fun!
(Parking can be challenging.) Here's a map of the area.
Johnny's is #10.
It would be great if you'd chime in here, so I'll have sort of a "head count," and I can call Johnny's ahead of time.

We now have a day left till kickoff but the wait still seems endless. It was fun watching the kickoff to 2010 college football season but still the anticipation right now is killing me. Apparently the anticipation is getting the players at Spaulding even more edgy and fired up. A skirmish between Taylor Embree and Akeem Ayers broke out yesterday which dissipated right away. Rick Neuheisel joked it's the first time in a while he saw a skirmish break out on a Thursday of game week. In any event e

There was a lot of buzz at today's practice because defensive lineman Brandon Willis was in attendance getting the final bit of paperwork done so now he is officially a Bruin. This a huge get for UCLA as he will help the Bruins be a better football team playing on the scout squad and then get into the mix in the spring for the real thing in 2011.
