RCS NorCal Notebook [$]

Some of the top players that attended the RCS Northern California on Sunday had recruiting news to deliver that affected teams across the country. Here is the latest from four-star linebacker Cameron Smith and many other recruits that were at Chabot College.

W. Tennis. No. 6 USC Women Host No. 3 UCLA On Friday At Marks...

The No. 6 USC women's tennis team has a showdown with crosstown rival UCLA on the docket this week, bringing the No. 3 Bruins to town for a Friday tilt at Marks Stadium. The Women of Troy (9-2) will square off against UCLA at 3 p.m. for the second clash of the season between the two rival teams.

M. Basketball. USC Begins Final Road Swing At Washington State...

The USC Trojans (10-19, 1-15) will play at the Washington State Cougars (9-19, 2-14) in Pullman, Wash on March 6 at 8 p.m. USC has lost a season high 10 consecutive games and is 1-15 in the last 16 games, after opening the season with a 9-4 record. The 10-game losing streak is USC's longest since going without a victory in the final 10 games of the 2012 season. The last time USC lost 11 or more games was in the 1989 season when it lost 13 consecutive games.

W. Golf. No. 1 USC Claims Bruin Wave Invitational For Sixth Win...

A week after its school-record and nation-long eight-tournament win streak was snapped, the No. 1 USC women's golf team - led by sophomore Kyung Kim's individual win and sophomore Annie Park and junior Doris Chen tying for second -- returned to the winner's circle, cruising to a 13-stroke victory at the Bruin Wave Invitational at the El Caballero C.C. in Tarzana, Calif., on Tuesday (March 4).

M. Volleyball. No. 6 USC Men's Volleyball Hosts Pacific, No....

The No. 6-ranked USC men's volleyball team (10-6 overall, 9-6 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) hosts a pair of MPSF matches this week when it welcomes Pacific (2-15, 1-13) on Friday (March 7) at 7 p.m. and No. 10 Stanford (10-7, 7-7) on Sunday (March 9) at 5 p.m. in a contest that will be aired live nationally on Pac-12 Networks.

Frank Buncom is a name familiar with older Trojan fans. Having played for USC in the early 60's, Buncom went on to star in the AFL as a linebacker ending up in the San Diego Chargers Hall of Fame. That same name and same smile shined Saturday at the Rivals Camp Series in Fullerton (Calif.).

Baseball. Trojans Host Waseda University in Exhibition Game

The USC baseball team welcomes Japanese college baseball power Waseda University to Dedeaux Field on Monday evening for an exhibition contest where the Trojans fell, 3-1 in a tight game.
