Wisconsin Pro Day 2014: Dezmen Southward shines

Despite being held out of last week's NFL Scouting Combine, Dezmen Southward turned some heads with a blazing 40-yard dash and an acrobatic 42-inch vertical jump. Last week in Indianapolis was one of the most frustrating experiences former Wisconsin safety Dezmen Southward had to endure not only in his young career, but in his life. Wednesday, he shined in front of the many NFL personnel scouting former Badgers at UW's pro timing day at the Dave McClain Center. According to Wisconsin football

You see people drop in draft grades for highly shady reasons, there's overvalue toward the 40-yard dash and let's be honest: the Badgers have been underrated for players who are too small and a step too slow. After Wednesday's pro day, however, it looks like that might change.

It seems like we always say this, but this 2013-14 campaign really does feel like it flew by. The Badgers' historic 16-0 start had the entire fan base energized beyond levels we've likely ever seen, and then came the midseason
